This morning, I realized I was out of milk and found myself foraging for breakfast. My backup? A smoothie! I always keep frozen fruit on hand. Today I tossed in some: frozen peaches, frozen mango, fresh ginger, Greek yogurt, OJ, and two cubes of frozen pureed melon (leftover from summer). It was so delicious!

The other day I made very refreshing and super-yum pineapple-ginger version. I think I'm on a roll...

I'd like to give a big shout-out to our amazing readers who beat me to the punch and have already started posting their (very yummy-sounding) smoothie recipes.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, start your blenders!

You know we have just been throwing plain or vanilla yogurt, a handful of mixed frozen berries and flax seed into the blender. Today I also tossed in one package of those "Nature Valley crunchy granola bars" oats n honey flavor and it gave it a little crunch, some sweetness and a whole lot of flavor!
