Town Hall Meeting with First Lady Obama -- Did You Watch It?

Susan_Davis posted:
Last week, WebMD held a town hall meeting on "Simple Tips for Healthy Families " with First Lady Michelle Obama.

During the meeting, community members asked Mrs. Obama (and a panel of experts) a wide range of questions -- including what are your go-to healthy snacks when you're on the road? How can I fit healthy foods into my grocery budget? How can I encourage my child to exercise and eat vegetables? And how do you fit healthy habits into your busy schedule?

What did you think of her answers? And which of those topics would you like to see WebMD the Magazine cover?

I loved that Michelle Obama was so real and down to earth. She's a real mom, and that she lives in a big White House with a huge garden just didn't enter her relating to parents and kids.

My favorite tip from Mrs. Obama? That parents should not be afraid or intimidated about asking -- telling! -- their kids' school that they want nutritious foods on the menu for lunch -- not junk food, not empty calories.

Have you tried this at your child's school? What happened?
