Spooky Movies?

Ok, which to you prefer? I tend to the old style where the bad dude/force is hinted at...a shadow in the background, etc....but that's just me...guess I'm old school, but my mind can make a monster way more nasty looking than anything Hollywood can do.

So...What Say You?

I don't like today's version of scary movies. They're way too bloody and most of them haven't a plot. All they do is kill, scream, kill, do stupid stuff, kill and show an awful lot of blood. I haven't seen a good horror movie in a long time.

You can try "The Haunting"....it's not spectacular, but it's good insofaras a lack of bloody scenes...lots of 'Did I see something?' moments though...and the special effects are really good too!

There's one scene where a girl turns around in a hallway, and the curtain billows out, and then when it starts to come back, you can see the shape of a man in it...just an outline....no actual person there though....loads of stuff like that.

I love those Hammer films from 1960s and 1970s!!

Christopher Lees Dracula to Peter Cushings Van Helsing!

Todays scary films our all about blood and gore? Boring!

As a kid, I was loving and scared at sametime watching those classic scary films!

Those were the days and films!

You know...I don't remember actually watching Phantasm...might have to look that one up. I remember ads for it, but don't think I've ever seen it.
