I was diagnosed with a dvt in my left leg last week. The doctors think that it had started a few months ago. I think I had injured my knee but I didn't go to the doctor because I was without insurance at the time. I am going back to school and do sit for long periods of time. This is also the third time in the past 12 years that I have had a dvt. This time it is more painful than I remember before.
I have not been able to walk for the past week and can't straighten my leg. Does anyone know how long it may take for my leg to heal? I do have insurance now and will be seeing a orthopedic doctor next week for the knee injury. I just want the pain to go away.
