Iron Deficiency and Pulmonary Embolism

I am a 36 year old female. For over a year now I have been anemic and they don't know why. I've had two rounds of iron infusions so far this year. They stopped the iron infusions when the Hemotologist realized that my iron was low but my ferritin was high. He wanted to wait 6 weeks to see if it would normalize. During that time I started having sharp pains on my right side when I took a breath. My PCP sent me for a CT to rule out blood clots. I was diagnosed with (2) Pulmonary Embolism's. I'm now on blood thinners for the next 6 months. It has been over a year since I've felt well at all. I have extreme fatigue and some memory loss that seems to be getting worse as time goes on. They're telling me that they may never know what caused the clots and no one seems to know why my body won't retain the iron since I have plenty of ferritn and my hemoglobin is normal. They have tested me for Chron's, Celiac's, Lupus, Lime Disease and a bunch of other things that have all come back negative. I realize that the two may be completely unrelated but I'm desperate for answers at this point. I have to take an ADHD drug (a stimulant) to give me enough energy to get through the day. Has anyone every experienced either of these conditions either seperatley or in conjuction with each other?

Hi I was on the pill for 27 years. I always asked my doctors why they had left me on the pill for so long, espcially me being 48 years old. One day I went to emergcy for somthing I can't even remember. 8 days later I wake up with 3 blood clots in my lungs. They then transfer me to a new hospital where I continue to get therapy and injections in my stomach region for about 3 three month. Then sent home with a vial of warfin. So now my Doctors are telling me I have high counts in liver numbers, that they are off the charts and have now diagnosed me with hepatitis, they do not which kind a,b or c.

I've had a P.E as well and was Anemic too, amongst other things. I had never had a problem with my blood pressure, cholesterol, liver, heart, and pancreas, but after my DVT/P.E I do. I am unsure why and so are my Doctors but basically this condition throws everything out of whack. It's frustrating and takes a long time to feel like yourself again, I'm still going through it.

I have iron deficiency anemia and bilateral PEs. No health problems prior. I spent 5 days in the hospital, home a week and a half ago, and now I am on Coumadin (just came off Lovenox injections) and Iron. All doctors so far have said these 2 things are unrelated but I find that really hard to believe considering I am healthy otherwise. Has anyone had any explanation on why these 2 are occurring concurrently? I also went through lots of testing to look for a bleed and none was found.
