    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

how fast can your thyroid go bad?

    wendco2003 posted:
I have my thyroid tested once per year because my mom had issues with hers. I started having heart issues in late January and my gp ran a thyroid panel to check the levels in February. It came back normal. Now here we are in October and I am having heart issues again. Losing weight is a battle, my hair is now falling out, I have NO energy and constant headaches. My cardio has ruled out my heart by doing a cath. So now I am wondering, if it could in fact be my thyroid. Can it go bad in 7 months?

YES! get to your Doc and ask for thyroid labs to be drawn. Also request a B12 level with the no energy symptom.
