    Life after thyroidectomy and Problems

Hi All. New to this website and board, great to connect with others. I am 25 female and had total thyroidectomy 5 years ago...Life has been rough since trying to adjust dosage. My doctor still says my levels are fine, but I still find myself fatigued, when I eat desserts or drink alcohol usually the next day my face is somewhat swollen...does this happen to anyone else??

I read recently its hard for us to breakdown sugar like normal people with a thyroid. What foods should we avoid after thyroidectomy? Honestly I have been so sick of going to doctors when I feel bad I just suck it up but I am ready to fix this and enjoy my youth.

I am 5'9 and 130 pounds so I am not overweight but weight is gained quickly unless I watch what I eat strictly. NOT FUN! please let me know your stories and advice ...anything. good to know we can all take this journey together.

    -Blessings
