    I need advice!!
    Anon_142575 posted:
My husband I have been trying to conceive for just over a year now and no luck. I feel that I can't get pregnant because of my weight problem, but even when I lost a bunch of weight, I still couldn't get pregnant. I have a lot of stress on me due to drama from his kids mom, college, work, etc. and I know none of those help trying to get pregnant. I know that the drama and work are never going to go away and I'm so worried that I am never going to have any kids of my own and it's truly depressing. I really don't know what it is that is causing me not to get pregnant - I need help! I need all the advice I get about how to destress, how to lose weight, etc. Thank you!!

    Welcome Anon_142575!

You're smart to recognize that stress can have a negative impact on your health. Here's our Stress and Anxiety Quiz you can take to get started on destressing. Here's another on What to Do About Job Stress that you may find helpful.

You may want to look into yoga, tai chi, painting, etc. classes as a way to relieve some stress. Your doctor may have some good ideas and will be able to clear you for starting an exercise plan if you'd like to start one.

Now that you've gone a year without conceiving, experts often suggest you talk to your doctor or a fertility specialist. This article, Should I Have Infertility Testing? is a good one. Also check out this Ovulation and TTC Tips slideshow.

You may also want to post over on the TTC Community for additional support.
