I'm seeing a Fertility Specialist this month. I think the problem lies with being underweight. Have anyone had an underweight problem while TTC. Any advice?

I am not currently underweight--but was for a period of time (while on bc). As soon as I stopped taking the pill (may 2011) I also stopped having a period. My doc told me I may have to gain 15 to 20lbs to get it back. As I said, I am currently NOT underweight and gaining that amount of weight would put me almost in the overweight category. My suggestion to you would be to do the BMI Calculator on this site..if you have a low BMI I would try to gain a few lbs (it could take as little as 5 or 10 to become more fertile). That being said, be sure to discuss this with the fertility specialist, although if you're underweight he'll probably tell you the same thing. Best of luck to you!!
