My hubby and I have been trying since we got married in Aug 2011 to conceive. Every month I track, try, and wait! All to find out that I am not and the whole thing starts over again. We are trying to keep our heads up, but it is sad when my friends are having babies without even trying. I am also scared that I might have PCOS. Does anyone have advice?

I don't know how old you are, but the best place to start would be with your doctor (if you haven't already, obviously!). All the women on these communities know exactly what you are feeling. We all go through the hopful stage each month only to have our hopes dashed when AF shows. I have been trying for 15 months and I wish I could say it gets easier, but it doesn't. The best thing would be to talk to your doctor if you think you have PCOS. There are drugs they can give you to help with AF if you are irregular.

Good luck with everything. This is definitely the place to vent, yell, scream, or just complain because we are all there with you! Let me know how it turns out! Hope I helped a little bit!

Thanks so much . I have talked to my doctor and all they do is the "well lets look at your test....hmm..well we need more test come back in a month..." Of course my answer is always "well thanks doc! that helps...kinda.."

I am 20 btw So we aren't at the point of no return all hope is lost yet. But if things go perfectly (which they never do) we want to have a baby in our arms this time next year .

ATT76 is correct, this is the place to be and it doesn't get any easier as the months go. I am so far into this storm, that days and months are blurring together. I had a nurse yesterday ask me what blood results I was looking for; I have had so many doctors appt in the past 2 months that it took me about 10 minutes to realize that I has passed it several times on my calendar.

But looking at your situation from the doctors perspective, your young, good health, etc and typically for ages 20-34 you are given a year of actively trying (unprotected sex) before they will even begin to think of any fertility treatment. I bypassed all this, because when I had enough of not knowing what was wrong and we were aleady 3 years into this battle.

At this point, just stay healthy, regular excercise, prenatal vitamins, track your bbt, and do all the good things as if you were pregnant so that when the time comes you are already in a routine. We are hear if you need us. Sometimes I think the people on these boards of more information than most doctors. Its like the magic 8 ball around here. (LOL).

Baby dust and vibes your way....

Thanks : ) my mom-in-law tried for 3 years so I am not too worried, I just get all well "moody" when I see my friends or family say things like "we got pregnant within the first month of marriage it was so easy" and I have to sit there and go " yeah, really? -_-.."

I believe we have come to the age when a person off the street is better at being your doctor than the person you are having to wait in a waiting room for 3 hours! (yeah...)

I am just hoping a praying and taking it day by day. Thankfully, hubby seems to understand the "waiting" part of this process.

Baby dust too you too : D

It definately does seem like everyone on this board and other blog sites are able to give more info than my speacialists lol. If I have a question I go online I don't call. Doc hands you another new drug and sends you on your way, I am often left with why? or how long? or what is this?. This is most definately the right place to get information and support.

All the ladies on these communities know all to well the pain of seeing everyone around you get pregnant "almost without trying!" It makes me sick to know that they can get pregnant so easily and I am still trying after 15 months!

I know the ladies on these communities are very helpful. Everyone has their own experience and their doctors may do something different, so this is the place to ask all those questions so you don't have to wait 3 hours!

Have you thought about getting a new doctor? If all they want to do is keep running tests and they really aren't giving you any answers then i think I would be looking for a new doctor!

Being young (god to be 20 again!!! ) you aren't at the point of no return. I wish I had thought about children before now though. I didn't get married until I was 27, but had been with my husband almost 11 years by the time we got married. I can't change anything, but you always think about "what if".

Keep positive. A year from now is a good goal. I wanted to be pregnant before I turned 36. I have 2 weeks for that to happen!!! We will see if I can celebrate or not!

I am getting a new doc on Feb 1 (new health stuff...paperwork ._.) My hubby is 23 so it is not like he is in a hurry either.

@ATT76 20 is fun, but...I wish I was a little older, not to have kids, but so people don't look at me like your 20 and married?!

@gabzi I had the doc tell me to take some pills and not worry about it..found out about 20 mins after taking it, it was something I was VERY allergic to...so now I drill my docs when they hand me something... : D which seems to work because I get the 20 minute speech from my doc and my pharmacist.

I am Mormon, and we are "sealed" for time and all eternity. It just means that we are going to be 'together forever'. (I promise I am not the person to become preachy)

And I will
