    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi! I am new to this community and wanted to introduce myself. I have been married for almost 6 months and we are trying to conceive. We have been trying since March and so far nothing. I know it won't happen overnight but any suggestions would help. Should I be using ovulation strips or something similar? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

After 6 months of trying you should seek advise from your GYN. There are a lot of tips like charting as well as blood work testing for hormones that can help your chances instead of waiting another 6 months. I made the mistake of waiting and now I am 36. I finally talked to my dr at the age of 33, find out I did have a thyroid disease which then ended up needing surgery, radiation and medication. In between all of the testing I had no choice but to wait and now we are trying again. Don't wait too long.
