Hi all! I am new to these boards and am looking to connect and share the journey of TTC with you all. I am currently trying for my 2nd. I have a 4 year old dd. We have been trying for 3months and are hoping for some good news in 2013.
I am however concerned and was hoping to find someone with some advice: for the past year I have started having brown spotting around the 17th day of my cycle. This past month since we are hoping to get preg I saw my OB and she ordered some bloodwork to find out why. We both expected my progesterone to be very low, but it and my tsh and fsh levels were all perfect. I assumed if i was spotting my levels were too low to carry a pregnancy but now im just confused. I have a follow up appt next week to see what the next step is. Anyone else ever here of a problem like this? Thanks so much!!

I should add that this spotting gets heavier off and on and lasts until my "real" period starts around day 28.

I can relate. My husband and I are also trying for our second we have a six year old daughter. We are both over 35 tho so we tried on our own for a year and I went to a fertility specialist Oct., 2012. He did a couple of invasive tests to find out that everything looks ok. I am hoping to get pregnant this year as well by charting ovulation and paying attention to my body. It is stressful and sometimes depressing (when your period comes on). But I know once I get pregnant and have my baby it won't matter. I have not had the issue of brown blood before my cycle tho. My last monthly a couple weeks ago was extremely short and I had a day of brown blood at the end of it. I wish you babydust this year! Best Wishses! hope your appt goes well.
