Getting pregnant after mirena

I'm having my iud (mirena) removed today to start trying for a baby. I'm just wondering if any of you tried getting pregnant after using mirena and if so how long did it take you to get pregnant? Did you have any complications with your pregnancy related to previously using the iud? Ive already spoken to my doctor, but I would just like to hear stories from other women. I do have a 9 year old daughter and was off the pill for only 2 weeks before I got pregnant with her so Im hoping same goes this time around, but I do know it can take some time too

Mine came out without any problems yesterday and we started trying right away last night. The doctor said it could happen as soon as this weekend (I will be ovulating). I will definately keep you posted Cham. Good luck to you!

Please do... I won't be ovulation again till october so hopefully we will have a postive then...

I had my Mirena taken out in the beginning of June and am still not pregnant. I was told it could take up to 5 months before we got pregnant. Wishing all you ladies the best of luck.

I had mine taken out the middle of August but we're not planning on trying until November. I told my doctor this and she said to be sure and use an alternate method of birth control. She's had patients come in four weeks later for a pregnancy confirmation!

The suspence is killing me, lol! The day I had the mirena removed was the start of my ovulation and Im just dying to find out! Im going to try taking a test on Oct 7 which will be exactly 2 weeks from the day of removal which my doctor suggested, unless I have the patience to hold off a couple more days my next period should be due around Oct 11. I just wish I were able to find out now, Im so excited!

The way I figure, I'm pretty much back on my normal schedule because it lasted the normal 3 days with a heavy flow, and I'm expecting it to come around again on the 7th of October [my daughters first birthday, ironically enough!>
We'll see what happens =3 My doctor told me it could take a few months, or it could happen right away.

Scratch that...Two positives tonight!!!!!! It took me 1 month to conceive after having my Mirena removed!

best way to know though, is to test! I got the Clear Blue tests, which you can use up to five days before your missed period. Needless to say, I'm pretty positive that they worked, cause I don't think that it's possible to get two false positives one after the other.

I just got my period today
