Dh and I have been talking about whether or not we want to see a doctor about TTC. We decided to wait until January and if I am not pregnant by then we will call my OB/GYN and make an appointment. Not exactly sure what to expect. Years ago when I was still married with my ex we TTC for about 2 years and the OB I had did the dye test on my reproductive organs because he was afraid I had scar tissue from my c-section and when that came back fine he decided to test my ex's sperm and we found out he was sterile and the only way we could have a baby was through donated sperm and IVF, which we decided not to do.(He is not the father of my DS) And when my DH was married to his ex still he was tested and his doctor said, and I qoute, "you have super sperm" lol I am not sure what to expect if my OB/GYN tests us and we both come back fine. Will he put me on meds or send us to a fertility specialist? What are my options besides IVF? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Baby dust to all!

Not sure how old you are or how long ago you had these tests done, but if you are seeing a new doctor and they haven't done these tests they may do them again...just to rule it all out for sure again...age can play many roles in ttc! My doctor has tried more less expensive routes first, doing 3 rounds of clomid and if that doesn't work doing IUI. Those are some other options for you other then IVF. Let me know what you decide. Good luck and baby dust to you!

Thanks for the info. I am 27 and my DH is 43. It has been about 5 years since I had my test done about 3 years for my DH. The only thing we can do now is wait and hope, I guess. I am still hopeful that we can coneive on our own. But my DH's age does have me a bit worried. Thanks again and baby dust!!
