I wanted to give a little inspiration.

I have been so down about this whole process because it seemed like the same thing over and over and I got no results. I have been taking 1000mg of Metformin for 4 months now. My doc said he wanted me to keep doing the same thing. He was going to refill my rx, and he did. However, Tuesday I actually started! All on my own! I can't even remember the last time that has happened. They always have to give me Provera. I haven't had a period in 4 months and just out of the blue there it was.

I was really shocked, but it gave me hope where I had none at all. So, now we are going to continue with it since it is working. I am not going to preach and say "it will happen, just be patient!" I nkow that isn't realistic because I have been so down myself. I just wanted to share so maybe someone can get a little lift from my experience.

Congrats! I'm so happy it is working for you and I'm glad you posted here. We need lots of encouragement! I know how happy it made you to actually started without having to take Provera. I have been since July without a period. I hope the Metformin continues to work and you end up with a BFP really soon! Good Luck!

Thanks! I have an appointment with my doc on friday for the oh-so-wonderful ultrasound. We are doing it early because he is going to be out of town. I swear, he is out of town more than any doc in the world! You would think in his business he would stick around more!

Anyways, I'm a bit concerned about the appointment being so soon. AF hasn't gotten into full swing yet if you know what I mean. Usually she sticks around from 7-14 days. If she is still here then we can't do the US and then it will be to late by the time he gets back! Blah.

Well, I'm not sure if I will be able to keep my appointment. AF is still here and still lite, but I think she is fixin to fully come. I kinda knew this would happen. I mean, even when I was on bcp and AF came every month she stuck around for at least a week. Not having had a period in 4 months I knew it would be longer than that. I'm gonna call tomorrow and see what they want to do. I think it will be to late having to wait another week, but oh well. I have been waiting this long.

Well, my appointment is cancelled. AF is still here. I mean, can't really do the US with AF. And the doc is out of town next week and said it would be pointless to do it any later. He also called in another rx refill for the Met for when I finish this next batch. He said it will be about 6 months on the Met before I am where he wants me to be. And he jsut nodded and said "good" when his nurse told him I started on my own this month.

So she said to call when I start again and if it has been 45 days without starting to call and they will do the same old thing. Blood test and Provera.

The first thing that has gone right in this whole process and it gets messed up. Now I have to sit at work and keep myself focused when all I want to do is cry right now. His nurse said one way or another he will see me next month. Great. That is if I start again.

I don't care what he says....tonight there is a margarita in my future.

I'm Sorry. It sucks to get your hopes all up then have them smashed. It gets very discouraging.

I am also very discouraged this morning. I found out my progesterone was only 6.7 on day CD 20. I was sure it was going to be way above 15 because I thought I caught a positvie LH surge with an OPK on day CD 14. Like you, I was feeling very optimistic until I heard the level, then I cried. Why does this have to be so Hard?!?

Kittykatjenn-I'm sorry you had to cancel your appt. I know it is difficult to finally get geared up to go and then to have to cancel. The positive side to all this is why you had to cancel, because you started on your own. That is a great thing. Hang in there.

Wantingbabymiracles-I'm sorry you may have not "O"ed. Could you have possibly "O"ed later than you thought?

I guess its possible it happened later, although today would be day 28, and I started so maybe its possible i actually did ovulate? I am hoping thats the case and we just drew the level on the wrong day. This time we're doing the "fun" US on day 12 so hopefully that'll give us some new info. I have been wondering if your doc ordered some clomid for you, let us know.

I'm sorry af showed. I hope this new cycle will give you much better results. I'm planning on calling the doc this coming week to see what is next. Thanks for asking, I will definitely let you know.
