    Update-No luck
    Prayforamiracle posted:
I have been meaning to update all that happened Monday. Last Thursday, on cycle day #13 I went in for my monitoring ultrasound. I only had one follicle large enough to measure and it was only 11mm. They told me I wasn't ready and to come back Monday. They told me to opk through the weekend. They didn't expect me to see a positive, but just in case. On Sunday, I have a extremely close positive around noon along with ovulation pains. Then four hours later a definite negative. So, I decided to call. They told me to still come in on Monday. On Monday's ultrasound they said it didn't look like I had ovulated, but they didn't see the follicle either. They ran blood work and said my Estradiol was 62 and progesterone was 0.6. So they pretty much said I didn't respond. This is where I'm confused. Wasn't I responding on Thursday with the 11mm follicle. What could have happened to it? Could this be related to my PCOS?

Sorry that it didn't work. I would say it is because of your pcos...everything with us is! It is kinda confusing that they said you didn't ovulate when you had the follicle. I would ask them to explain.

I'm not sure...but I would imagine it is related to PCOS. Darn it! Sorry to hear about that. How is everything going now?
Me: 23 PCOS DH: 23 Ready to go! TTC for 7 months. Just starting on 50 mg of Clomid.
    Prayforamiracle replied to Albrecht0529's response:
They wanted to start me on 150mg of Clomid that very night. I didn't start it that night, because I had to wrap my mind around everything. The plan was to start it the very next night, but that day dh found out he was going to be gone the next week for work. So, I couldn't start it. Right now, I'm just hoping I will still ovulate. We might have to put off the IUIs for a couple months, because dh work schedule will be hectic. We don't think he will be a able to take off early or take any days off for a little while. We are afraid we will start a cycle, take the meds, shot, plan the IUI and then work will tell him he can't take off. So frustrating! Thanks so much for asking.

Sorry you have to postpone. I know how awful that feels. Hopefully you will ovulate on your own. And hopefully dh's work schedule will clear a bit so you can get going.

From my understanding, with PCOS the follicle grows and if it doesn't reach the right size then it doesn't release and the ovary absorbs it and that's what makes the cysts. But that is only how I understand it, who knows if that's what really happens.

I hope you guys can work it out so you don't have to postpone. Maybe you will ovulate on your own and you wont need to worry about the IUI. Fingers crossed for you!
