If I remember correctly, I had a few days of spotting about three weeks after I started Met. So, probably the week I increased from 1000mg to 1500mg. I bet it has to be the increase in Met.

Prayforamiracle-Me(35)PCOS Dh(42)MFI TTC since 11/06. Only pregnancy ended in loss in July 2007. On 1500mg of Metformin. Currently on Cycle 24.

Well, it has gone from spotting to my actual af. And that really sucks too...I mean, it wasn't even a week! Oh well, hopefully since I just had it it won't be to long.

Maybe. It was only a week long and very lite. Hopefully things will start to work correctly. The side effects are still killing me though!

What exactly is the Met. for? My RE mentioned it once during our consultaion but never brought it up again. I've heard it also helps to prevent miscarriages & that is a concern of mine so I'm wondering if I should mention something.

Metformin is a medication that patients take for diabetes, but some doctors prescribe it for PCOS. They believe it may help in regulating your cycles and reduce the risk of miscarriage. I would mention it to your doctor and see what they think.
