Bed rest

Is anyone out on bed rest yet? When did you go on bed rest if you are? Why did the doctor put you out on bed rest?

I was wondering all this because I've been having some serious round ligament pains, and while I do a lot of sitting at work, there are times when I have to walk around, which makes it worse. Also, there is the hike into the gate - I already have DH dropping me off at the gate, and I still have to shuffle slowly to my building!

Hi I'm Kelsey I am pregnant with twins also and I was on bedrest also but I only stayed on for a week. The reason my doc put me on is because my blood pressured had started going up very high and I was stressing entirely too much and I threatened to miscarry so she put me on bedrest but I didn't have any round ligament pains just headaches. But the bedrest honestly did help it helped find ways to manage my stress. Good luck Hon.

I'm glad things worked out for you! I didn't know they put sometimes put women on bed rest for only a short period of time. I suppose that would be better than being bored at home for months before the babies come!

I was told to still be extra careful and to try to hold down the stress

I'm 32 weeks and no talk of bed rest yet. It is hard for me to get around and do things though.

Wow, you're getting close, Violet! Are you excited about finally being done with the pregnancy, or have you been enjoying it?

Hi! 37 weeks now! My c-section is scheduled for next Thursday. I can't wait! This has been a really rough pregnancy. It has gone well medically speaking, but it has been hard on me. It is so much more difficult than my 1st pregnancy with DD!

Hi Violet, can I ask if you had a c-section with your first? Just curious why they scheduled one this time. I had a vaginal birth with my daughter and I am really nervous about the possibility of a c-section with the twins.

VioletBlossom replied to gigi7147's response:
Yes, I had to have a c-section with my first so Dr. has recomended c-section from the beginning to avoid the chance of the uterus rupturing at the scar tissue. Recently we found out that the twins are still transverse and not in position for a vaginal birth so it looks like either way I would have still ended up with a c-section.

I hope you don't have any issues and can deliver vaginally!
