I have a family friend who is claiming that shes 20 weeks pregnant with twins. She has yet to have ever have a ultrasound. She said the Dr found the twins with a doppler at 10 weeks and confirmed 2 heartbeats. Because shes a army wife she only gets one ultrasound ( I guess thats all Tricare will cover) Does this sound fishy ? I mean if you are really pregnant with twins im sure your Dr will do a ultrasound before 20 weeks or at least 20 weeks. She says they are going to wait until like 24 weeks.

My husbands family is retired navy and yes its true if she is going to a doctor on base then they may only do 1 ultrasound so they will wait until they know they can find the sexes and everything. Unfortunetly on base care is very lacking. If she wants to get more ultrasounds or anything like that she will have to find a doctor off base but she might not be able to do that just depends on what the insurance says.
