Branden's Transplant

Hi folks. I just wanted to share a nice story with you. A number of months ago I met a couple online through a variety of kidney and transplant boards. Branden has had T1 for about 30 or 35 years and his kidneys failed suddenly last year. He went on the list for a kidney/pancreas transplant. He has had a number of false starts (the way I did with my pancreas) but just the other day he got a call and it was the real deal. I got an email from his wife that he was waiting for the surgery. I can't wait to find out how he is doing. If you are interested in what this sort of journey looks like, have a peak:

Wow...he's coming home already? That's amazing!

I don't know him nor does he know me but, tell him I'm thinking about him and hoping he continues to do well.

I haven't heard much. The Kristi has posted again recently with an update, but only of transplant day. He is now about 6 weeks post transplant. Often at this time there are slight glitches so I hope if there is anything, it is only minor.

I'll let you know if I hear anything soon.
