Hey everyone....i have had diabetes now for 29 years and i was wondering if everyone else has the same problem that i do. that is when you go to the dr with other problems they ignore signs and symptoms and everything is blamed on your diabetes.....i know it may be the underlying cause of some of the other problems but they still won't address anything.....ughhh frustrated

I've had the same thing happen to me over the years. What helps is finding a good doc that will listen to you. My big fear was that one day I would die of undiagnosed cancer because they kept blaming my diabetes. I have good docs now (have cashed in a few along the way) and they listen to me and take me seriously. Best of luck to you in finding a good health care providing. I would suggest switching if you are not getting satisfaction. At the very least I would discuss the lack of communication with the doc. They may not even realize they are doing it.
