Hi there, I have been type 1 for 21 years. I am 29 yrs old, female. After years of not having good bs control I am now facing the consequences. I have numerous diabetes complications, one of the most challenging being gastroparesis. I have a very supportive husband, although he is currently deployed. I have so many blessings in my life and I choose to focus on them. One being I have health insurance( good insurance too) We all know what a relief that is. But I find myself being depressed and moody alot of the time(esp with my hubby). I just really need to talk to someone in my similar situation. Like most type 1 , you would never think by looking at me that i have all the health issues I do. I am not into having a pity party , I just need someone to relate to......

I've had a number of complications too and like you, you can't really tell looking at me. How are your sugars running? If they are up or all over the place, this will add to depression. I had some real issues for a while and opted to go on meds. Once my brain chemistry was back in balance I was weaned off the drug and have been fine ever since.

The gastro can be a real pain. I still have it, but it's not as bad. I found it got better after my kidney transplant.

Feel free to vent with me if you need to. I've been there, and done that.
