    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Ok my husband has kidney stones. Normal they pass in a day. He has been to the ER three times now in the past week. Can you get more that one stone going through in one week?

Absolutely. You can have as many stones as have calcified because of poor diet and lack of water. Most of them you will probably never see because they're smaller than a grain of sand, but the big ones, painful as they may be, are much better passed than stuck.

You may find a wealth of information (3000 pages) at this research web site about the topic http://www.urologystone.com

Fortunately kidney stone formation can be well managed and treated. An immediate change in diet is important, as well as many other things, to minimize recurrence.

Your husband should not be visiting the ER. He should be seeing a urologist immediately and be under their care.
