fainting when seeing blood
phattiedaddy posted:
recently I injured my hand and when my wife tried to assist me she fainted when see saw the sight of blood. does anyone know the name of this condition? or why this happened?

Some people are just really sensitive to blood. It's usually due to early conditioning. It's not really a medical condition, more like an extreme phobia or mental shock. Kind of like reflexively jumping on a stool when you see a mouse. Maybe her mom was like that, or maybe she just freaks out over blood because of the shocking appearance. She may forget to breathe, causing the fainting.
