Lake Allergies
Curt14 posted:
EEverytime we go out on our boat on the Lake (Allatoona in Ga) and we swim, I get completely stuffed up for the next couple days. I do not think it is standard pollen as it only happens when we swim. Also I live 15 miles from the lake. I take a dialy Clariten to fight airborn allergins. Could I be reacting to the lake water? Is their something I can do profalactively to prevent this reaction (other than avoiding the water)

Hiya and welcome,

Have you talked to your doctor about this? He/she would know best for you about this.

You can look for support, and ask your question on our Allergies Community. as well, and call your doc and ask to be sure.

Good luck and enjoy the summer!
