    Panic about EKG

So I've got a cold virus. Went to urgent care because it's been 5 days and just wanted to get checked... Blah blah... Of course I had a full on 145 bpm panic attack because doctors are a trigger and my lung being congested didn't help things.

Everything checked out normal besides a few long qt intervals in my EKG. The urgent care practitioner didn't seem too concerned.

I suffer from fluttering heart beats on occasion and sometimes when I'm doing strenuous activity it's worse. Sudden stressful moments also make it flutter sometimes. So I'm sitting here freaking out worried I have long qt interval syndrome - can anyone calm me down and tell me the likely hood of it just being due to my panic attack that was happening while the EKG was being done. Or give the low down on the relationship between anxiety and long qt intervals? I booked an appointment with a cardio... But that's next week...

    Thanks in advance.

it is obvious that you are doing this to yourself why else would you go for an ekg for a cold you need to add hypochondria to your list of illnesses You should go see a shrink not a cardiologist
