    work in the field and have found your site helpful . i understand the medication we are prescribing is needed / necessary and life changing however , often the patient's translation of treatment often trumps , our best efforts.
    The stigma of the disease, side effects of meds often and as you said have patients discontinue treatment.
    It is a serious illness one correlated with suicide . A book i recommend for certain patients , is Kay Jamisen's , "an unquiet mind. " she writes beautifully , captures the illness as well as her personal struggle with medication compliance. ultimately she offers great wisdom .
