I am trying to find out if anyone has ever even heard anything like this,or if I am just way off my rocker. In 1997,I was at work when My right arm went dead and I was unable to speak. The next thing I knew was being loaded into the ambulance. After several days in the hospital, the Doctors found it was a brain tumor,So then came the surgery,They did the awake mapping thing. After that I had speech and physical therapy to restore the use of my arm. Then in 2004 the tumor came back,It was removed once again. Then had radiation treatments for a month. This 4th of July,I was assaulted by my neighbor. On my front porch and in my home.I could see him running from his yard over to my porch and I knew that he was going to punch me.I am trying to figure out why I did nothing to defend myself? I used to.A friend was over and we were talking about it,and he said, maybe with the first tumor, you forgot how to defend yourself.I had not thought of that before but it would explain the feeling that I had the night he was coming toward me,It was as if I was not sure what to do.Since my friend mentioned it,I have been trying to find answers.I have been thinking back and realized that I have not been in an altercation since before the first tumor. So maybe I did forget how to defend myself.I did forget how to write, and my signature has changed to just a squiggley line.Just trying to figure it out.Any help would be appreciated.
