    Atorvastatin Side effects
    An_267792 posted:
My doctor prescribed Atorvastatin 40 mg for me. My cholesterol was elevated at 122 and I had a CT-Calcium Score in the upper 25%. I took the first dosage and felt light headed all the next day. Will this side effect go away?
    iride6606 responded:
You should check with your doctor as that is not really a side effect of a statin.

    Hi there,

Here are the side effects of Atorvastatin .

It says that if you are experiencing severe dizziness then you should seek immediate medical attention. I'm not sure of the severity of your light headedness, but iride6606 is right, you really should consult your doctor as soon as possible.

If you check out Atorvastatin in the WebMD Drugs & Medications center , there are over 100 user reviews. You might find some who have experienced similar side effects who have found a solution.

Please let us know how you're doing once you've talked to your doctor.
