My mom has been battling small cell colorectal cancer for the past two years. She had a complete hysterectomy and then shorty after had pain in the rectal area. In those two years she has had two different types of Chemotherapy and each time the cancer came back within a short amount of time. Then she had a colonectomy in August 2015. Now another tumor is back in the vaginal area. She is starting high does es of radiation next week. Her doctor told me that after this, if it comes back in a short amount of time, there is not much that can be done. I was also told that there are no clinical trials. I could really use some new stories/updates.... It's so hard to battle something when you think you're the only one.
