My husband just had an iIiostomy removed 1 1/2 weeks ago (he has had it since his initial rectal cancer surgery in Sept) and he is in tremendous pain from pooping constantly. His skin around his anus is raw. What is the best remedy and can anyone give any advice if this is normal or what to do to make it better? any advice would be tremendously helpful and appreciated!

    Hi InPainNeedAdvice,
Have you spoken to your husband's doctor about his pain symptoms? They might be able to prescribe him something that will ease his pain and to treat the skin around his anus.
Be sure to come back and update us.
We are here for you both ((hugs)).
