I was recently diagnosed with colitis, I started having pencil size stools, then ribbon size stools, then constipated, to the point, that I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I received a call from my urologist, because I am also pron to bladder infections. I needed to get on antibacterial medication for 7 days to treat the bacteria in my bladder. To my surprise! My stools became normal size! After my 7 day treatment, on the 3day of being off antibacterial medication, my stools became small again and I could not go again. Two weeks later I started another bladder infection and again on another treatment of antibacterial medication, again I was able to go poop. There is a link here with antibacterial medications!

I am also on treatments of probiotics, Activia, probiotic shots, probiotic pills and Kefer which don't seem to help, but I continue with the regiment.
