Hi, I have been diag with Crohns but my symptoms are different from what I've read about. Before an episode I have fever like symptoms chills hallucinations severe vomiting dry heaves requiring a hospital visit where they administer a drug that knocks me out. When I awake from the drug affects I feel fine. Further treatment at the hospital is clear diet and anti inflammatory drugs. Usually released after two to three days. For treatment I've been taking 20mg prednisone. Anyone else experience like symptoms?
    Thanks

This sounds a bit like pancreatitis. I've only had acute pancreatitis. Maybe you might want to ask you doctor about this possibility? Hope that helps. I've had Crohn's all my life and have never had symptoms such as those you describe, nor have I ever heard of anyone else with Crohn's having them either.

Thanks for your response. I will see my PCP today and discuss this with him. What is your treatment for pancreatitis and has it been successful ?
    Thanks
