    Disability Benefits Help
lisafromma posted: is a great site that has a forum for people who are applying for disability benefits. It answers questions, gives you a place to vent and has current information.

It also has letters people receive from Social Security throughout the process of applying for Disability. If you are considering applying it is worth a look.

Hi lisafromma - I would like to ask a question? How does one go about applying for diability benefits? I am currently working 32.25 hours a week and find it getting more difficult with the arthritis, breast cancer, depression and anxiety. It is getting harder for me to focus and concentrate and makes me very nervous to go to trainings and take tests. I am not out to get something for nothing, but I have a good friend who asked me if I had ever thought of it.

Thank you so much for your post. Bless you!!

Hi BlueBarne - Can you tell me where a person starts if they would like to apply for Social Security Disability? I would appreciate it. Thanks so much ---- Janna

You should call your local SS office and set up an appt to go in and someone will help you fill out the papers for usually get denied the first time around because they are hoping you will just give up and go back to work but then you have to usually get a SS attorney that will help you get it the second time around....dont waste anytime, because it takes a while to get took me 17 months which was good from what I hear from others that had to wait...if it wasnt for my daughter moving back in with me and paying for my bills I would have lost my home and everything else...she was such a blessing to me at that time and still is....but dont put it off...make an appt and get started and dont give up ok...God bless....Shelley
