    Chronic pain, please help me!
    Guitarmama22 posted:
I'm 30 years old and all of my symptoms are, apparently, a medical mystery.

I have debilitating stomach pain that presents on the upper right side. They have ruled out gallbladder, liver, and any stomach issues. I have had an endoscopy, biopsies, ultrasounds and scans, yet all is normal. My abdomen becomes so swollen that I look like I'm pregnant. They have also ruled out celiac. I get build up of acid that I force myself to expel and that alleviates it momentarily. It feels like something is ripping through my right side.

I have gained about 30 pounds in a year. I eat an 1100 calorie diet that consists mainly of vegetables, lean protein (chicken, Greek yogurt), fruit, and other low fat, high protein foods. I go on a 30 minute power walk daily, as that's all I am able to do with my pain levels. My diet is balanced. I don't eat fried foods or anything that is high in saturated fat (except occasionally avocado). I very rarely drink decaf coffee, drink plenty of water, and sometimes I will drink unsweetened iced tea/hot tea. I avoid most prepared foods and don't eat processed foods. I don't eat cheese, drink milk, or eat pastries, cakes, donuts, or anything else remotely unhealthy.

I also have chronic neck pain that sends burning sensations from my neck to my fingertips. I have had MRIs, X-rays, seen specialists, been to physical therapy, gone to cardiologists to rule out cardiac symptoms, and nobody can tell me why I am constantly uncomfortable. They have told me it is anxiety and have put me on a beta blocker to assist with the anxiety, but I think my anxiety mostly comes from never knowing if this pain is coming back. Meds make me nauseous and I just want to know the cause so we can come up with a solution.

I have been to so many doctors and seen so many specialists that I have had to file bankruptcy from the medical bills. This system is broken. I am going in circles and losing my mind. I finally thought I would get reprieve when I saw a pain specialist today, who simply examined me for 10 minutes and told me to go back to physical therapy. I am at my wits end. I can't physically, mentally, or financially handle this anymore. I have used almost all of my sick time for the year and it is barely June.

Does anyone have any idea, suggestion, anything? I can't put myself back into debt over this, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to deal with this pain.

    Please, please help me.
