Hey hope someone can shed some light on this or if anyone has experienced anything similar!

Long story short I've been having some problem with on/off vomiting for just over a year now. I also experience feeling full really quickly and excessive burping/gas and have diarrhea on a regular basis. I also have this horrendous pains in the left of my abdomen which last for days and days and its uncomfortable to lay in certain positions and it can be painful to touch too.

Originally my doctor though it was gallstones but after having an ultrasound they established it isn't that. I also did a breath test for a possible stomach ulcer and that came back negative. My doctors are being a bit slack on doing tests and I feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall here because its been going on for well over a year now and they've given me different medication which doesn't seem to have done anything.

Has anyone experience anything remotely similar?!?

I do have pain on my left side. I do suffer from IBS but this has started within the last year or so. I have recently been diagnosed with twisted bowel, and when they did the colonsocopy it was that spot that hurt so much I woke up during the procedure. Pretty sure that is where my twist is.

    Hi there,

Thanks for posting. There is nothing more frustrating than the feeling that your doctors are working against you, and not with you.

Here is what I could find on WebMD as it relates to pain in the left side of the abdomen:

Information on Diverticulitis, which is noted for the presence of pain in the left side of abdomen: http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/tc/diverticulitis-symptoms

If you are looking to change doctors, please feel free to use our Physician Directory , which can help you find a qualified doctor in your area.

Also, be sure to check out our Symptom Checker , which might be able to help you narrow down what it is that could be causing your symptoms.
