    Collagenous colitis

I've had collagenous colitis since 1987. I have been through what all of you have talked about. The one thing that I have tried and seems to help, is eliminating High Fructose Corn Syrup, corn solids, etc. and cut down on fruit due to the high fructose. The diarrhea has gotten better, more solid stools, still go about 5 times a day, but more easily controlled. I'm not afraid to step out of the door. I still know where all the bathrooms are between home and work, but I'm not stopping at them as I did before. Also, if you smoke, quit and cut down on your coffee consumption. Read the labels, there is more HFCS on the shelves than you have ever imagined.
