Blinking peripheral vision when seeing bright colors side by side

Hi. When there are things with bright colors (e.g. blue & red, blue & orange) side by side in my mid- to far-peripheral vision, the colors appear to be blinking which kinda gives me eye strain. I've started experiencing it only a couple of months ago. I don't always see the colors blinking but it's occurring more frequently now. Sometimes this experience leads to a mild headache in the upper area of the eye socket, around the eyebrows. What condition could it be? Is it dangerous?

Sample photo that gives me the blinking peripheral vision is this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9d/Blue_red.svg/220px-Blue_red.svg.png

    Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
the "blinking" of any part of your vision sounds a bit like part of a migraine headache. This might connect your blinking light and the headache.

Need to tell your primary care doctor about this if this is a new or increasing symptom.

Thank you for your opinion. I've done some research before and all I could conclude is also a migraine - particularly ocular migraine - but I'm not so sure.
