    Excercise and FIbromyalgia

I want to start exercising to help me firm up, but any time I go to the gym it aggravates my Fibro. Is there anyone that has this issue and could give me some tips??

    My mother has fibro.

Use lighter weights and more reps. Stretch a lot. Take it slow, don't try too much at one time, she can get messed up pretty badly if she does too much. Water exercises are great, as they are low impact and easy on the joints. Did I mention stretching? Gentle beginner yoga might help, tai chi, light exercise bands. With fibromyalgia it's easy to overdo it so take it easy.
