    Anyone else out there fidget like crazy? I can never seem to sit totally still, and it seems that may be a good thing in this case.

    New research has found that "tapping your feet or other types of fidgeting while sitting for long periods of time may reduce your risk of health problems...Sitting for extended lengths of time reduces blood flow to the legs, which may contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease."

    I saw this research too, it's good to hear that if you fidget at your desk you're actually helping your heart! Another study came out this week that found that replacing sitting with standing/walking for just a short time each day can reduce your blood sugar. The results last long past the last bout of exercise, too. This further goes to show that a lunchtime walk or finding ways to get up during the day can really help your health!
