    do i have hope , p66 detected
    An_267858 posted:
    Dear doctor,
I had two protected sex exposures with two CSWs between 22nd and 29of july 2016. On july 22nd event, Csw did oral on me with condom. On aug 1st, i developed hsv 1 blister on my upper lip and got it treated. Out of fear and guilt, i started tenvir-em pep from july 23rd morning within 12 hiurs of first CSW exposure. On july 12th, i met one more lady (mostly not CSW), cannot confirm, got her tested for hiv on card method and she was negative. Earlier in 2011, when i was on pep, i did not have any side effects. But this time, there is nausea, on and off fever and lack of appetite and, somedays wokeup with night sweats and other days no sleep. Had continuous fever from aug 10th to 12th. Consulted local physician, explained whole thing, on 13th aug, advised for hiv 1 western blot test, result came on 15th aug with single p66 band detection. I am worried and scared to death. I am already hepatitis b carrier, i am worried about this p66 detection on 16th day of last protected exposure. Local physican told to repeat the test after a month. I am dying with stress and life is over thinking tendency. I took bath for my son and washed his potty on 12th aug. Am i in seroconversion phase for hiv?. Could i have transferred hiv to my 6 year old son?. I am dying with guilty about what i have done. Specialist advised me to show up with hiv pcr dna report which is expected in this weekend. I am still taking daily one tablet of tenvir em,. Will hiv proviral dna show up as positive?. Please advise and i dont have anybody to talk to. I have young kids and unsuspecting wife. Please help. Thanks and appreciation in advance. I have alternate days of constipation and semi solid stool diarrhea.

Unprotected oral sex in itself is EXTREMELY small risk. Oral sex done with a condom is ZERO risk. Why your physician would even put you on PEP over this non-risk is totally unknown. It's likely the PEP that's causing your symptoms along with guilt at stepping out of your marriage over these visits.

You failed to report what took place in the July 29th event.

Just aside, sounds like some therapy for why these continued events outside your marriage might be helpful.
