    Infant constipation

My LO is 6.5 months old and has severe constipation. His stools can be hard like pebbles and it gets very painful for him to go. He often has blood streaks in the stools. The problem is becoming more frequent. The doctor advised to keep giving him prune juice or mineral oil. But these things have stopped working now. Does anyone has any other suggestions?

Here is some information on what to do for infant constipation that you might find helpful. Have you spoken with your son's doctor since the prune juice and mineral oil stopped working? He/She may have more suggestions or ideas as to what may be causing his constipation. Please let us know how he is doing!

I had given apple juice to my LO, it worked well. Try apple juice to your LO too.
