Does anyone know WHY one gets Trigger finger?

I have been told by my Doctor, it is Idiomatic, no reason the disease is present.

Right hand, four fingers received the Trigger Release and no problem. Has taken nearly 1 year to fully recover.

Recently, I had Trigger Finger Release on other hand. Nothing but trouble. Scar tissue buildup which I am receiving OT to break up. In addition, I have a painful hard lump above the scar??? Any thoughts on this?

    Awaiting a reply.

    Thank you.
