One of my friend has Osteoarthritis where one of her knee has a bone on bone. She is currently undergoing Osteoarthritis knee treatment program , nearby. I was wondering if anyone has found certain foods to be helpful for her as well as help lessen her discomfort. Please share.

Having struggled with osteoarthritis, and, wanting to reduce the intake of pharmaceutical medications, I have recently started using a Herbal alternative that contain the plant extracts Scutellaria baicalensis and Acacia Catechu. It does not contain any dairy, egg, gluten, lactose, nuts, sugar, wheat, yeast, artificial colouring or flavorings. It has definitely helped my joints which, of course, is probably in no way attributed to being gluten, wheat, egg, etc., free but it has gotten me thinking along the same lines. I recently asked similar on another forum about peoples experiences with foods affecting their OS / joint inflammation and one person mentioned wheat and tomato products. This didn't surprise me considering the inflammatory effects gluten can have and the perhaps the acidity in tomato affects some people negatively as well??? I will have to read more on this. Hope you friend has some success with their treatment.
