    Bursa Removal and I.T. band
    zykan posted:
I have been chatting on this site for several years. I hope so many of you have received relief..5 years ago I fell on my right hip and diagnosis was trochantric bursitis. Over these years I have had shots, PT, been taking Ibuprofen, etc. Am thinking now about having bursa removed, although my ortho doctor has only done this 3 times. Main complaint is walking and now the pain seems to be right below the right knee. Dr. says the I.T. band goes from the hip bursa to the knee bursa, and the problem could be that band tightened. When walking any distance at all, the pain right below the knee is awful and I have to sit down. Wondered if anyone has had success with the I.T. band surgery, or anyone have their pain also in the below knee area?? Thanks so much.
