    arthritis vs. bursitis
    rudyroo posted:
am 59 y/o female, fairly good shape. Left hip starting hurting about a year ago. Xray shows bad arthritis, but orthopedic doc (who is well known and respected) thinks its bursitis. I am scheduled for an MRI w/ contrast in a week, but he thinks we are looking at a bursectomy rather than hip replacement. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

    Hi there, rudyroo.

I'm glad you found us but I'm sorry that you've been experiencing pain in your left hip.

I'm happy to see that your on the right track by consulting a doctor and taking steps to get this rectified.

If you'd like to read more about the symptoms of bursitis, you can find that here .

What were the results of your MRI? Please be sure to come back and update us.
