    Nerve Pain

    ynottony posted:
I have dealt with Fibro Pain for roughly 20 years.
I am a Male, now age 75, just a young guy, as age doesn't bother me
I have gone through many bouts of severe nerve pain through every part of my body over the years.
I don't sit still very well and keep going, currently doing a lot of spring yard preparation to plant my flowers in a few weeks When I overdo it, I pay for it more, but its better than sitting still. I am on about 15 meds a day, including Gabapentin and Tramadol, besides my Tylenol. The meds keep me a bit balanced.
Now my current situation: Yes I have lots of pain daily, but I slug through it. Something that has happened before but showing up now again is, when I urinate, I burn severely, throughout my body, burning up my body, down my arms, into my head, closing my eyes because of the pain and I see stars, it being so severe. This last only 1-2 minutes and then goes away.
One other very annoying thing, is I itch badly back of my neck, on each side just below the ears, down the mayor muscle area.
Anyway that is my current story. If there are any experts out there who can make any good suggestions, particularly with reference to the burning pain, I would be grateful.

    2nd try***
Hello ynottony. MiMi in NC. I just wanted to let you know that there is a Fibromyalgia board on this site. I do encourage you to visit it.

Vitamin D.....have you had this checked? Lots of people seem to have very low Vitamin D which can cause some people additional pain and this can also affect other illnesses as well.

I also encourage you to do some research on MSM supplement (which can be found at vitamin stores)..
Magnesium Malate also just might help the *burning pain that you have.

I am NOT an expert....but I do face all kinds of challenges every day with the Fibro. I no longer take any *prescriptions* but have found a way to *control my FM pain* by taking vitamins and supplements and using other tools as well.

I hope you find something soon that will help you cope better.

    Take care.

Sorry for my late reply Yes I do take Vitamin D and MSM, my wife helps me daily to keep up with these. For many years I have gone through pain cycles. I push through day by day, as I don't sit still very much.
I'll check out the Fibro board as well.
    Thank you for your response.
