    Hi everyone,

In December 2013 I had a thoracotomy and laminectomy in order to remove a large spinal ganglioneuroma.

I have started a blog about my journey from diagnosis to recovery, in order to share my experiences and hope that other people will share details of their thoracotomies as well.

It's early days yet (I've only written one post and the 'About' page!) but I have lots more to write, particularly when it comes to my experiences with pain management etc.

I hope you'll check it out and share your experiences too.

Thanks all, and best wishes to everyone undergoing this major surgical procedure.

    Russ
