4-year-old is suddenly afraid of having a bowel movement in the toilet
    An_260843 posted:
Quite suddenly, my 4-year old is frightened of using the toilet for a bowel movement, so he's holding it until it explodes in his underwear.
    tlkittycat1968 responded:
Is it possible that he had a painful bowel movement and either associates the toilet with the pain or is afraid it will hurt again?

    sonshinemama replied to tlkittycat1968's response:
My son had a very painful bowel movement brought on my constipation and is now terrified of pooping in the toilet. He will only go in his underwear/pants, and its only a little at a time.
