10 year old with no self confidence

I am not a parent but a very concerned grandmother. My 10 year old grand daughter has ADHD and gets picked on in school every day. The teachers are no help. Now that summer is coming to an end it is getting so bad for her that she is having anxiety attacks because she has to go back to school. The doctor says we have to work on building up her self confidence. Does anyone have ANY tips how to help her to stand for herself? We just don't know what to do anymore and hate to see this sweet child suffer like this.

I would recommend finding a really good therapist to work with your Granddaughter. One that can teach her "coping techniques" and help her navigate social situations.

Its heartbreaking to watch a young child suffer, and when a child is a bit different, has a disability, low self esteem, etc....it can bring the child way down

The school also needs to support your Granddaughter. There needs to be some good communication going on from her parents to the teachers and staff - has that happened yet?

The school can actually do a lot, some schools are better about getting "on-board" than others, but there are laws that the school must follow.
